Assessment of the needs and capacities in Circular Economy and Innovation of the CITE Network in Peru to determine the best way to integrate the topic in the Network

Metroeconomica studied and analysed the Productive Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre (CITE) network to advise on and determine the best approach to incorporate the Circular Economy and Innovation within this Network. Through an evidence-based analysis the objective of the consultancy was to determine whether the Circular Economy and Innovation was integrated with the creation of a new independent public or private CITE or whether it was integrated into the present CITE network.

The study consisted of three phases, where the first phase was a methodological preparation and validation, which sought to provide feedback on the activities and methodological scope proposed for the development of the study, as well as collect data and information ongoing activities on circular economy issues in the prioritised CITEs. The second phase corresponded to the study of the current situation of the CITE network and its potential to create a new independent CITE for Circular Economy and Innovation or to integrate Circular Economy and Innovation in the CITE network. Finally, in third phase it was planned to develop a workshop to present the results of the evaluation process and proposal of the integration of circular economy in the Network with the key actors of the circular economy in Peru. A second workshop aimed at introducing the Circular Economy and Innovation approach was also proposed with selected CITEs managers and other relevant stakeholders.
