Project description
The consultancy provided specialised support on sustainable finance to contribute to the development of circular economy initiatives promoted by Ihobe. The work focused on integrating sustainable finance considerations into key circular economy platforms, including the Basque Ecodesign Center, Basque Circular HUB and PYME Circular Euskadi, with the objective of supporting the implementation of projects, capacity-building activities and knowledge transfer initiatives.
The activities included the analysis of emerging sustainable finance developments, such as the European Taxonomy and other relevant regulatory and market trends, and the assessment of their implications for companies and public administrations. The consultancy also supported the identification of eligible economic activities under the European Taxonomy, the development of methodologies and tools to assess taxonomy alignment, and the provision of technical mentoring for participating organisations and professionals.
In addition, the project involved the design and delivery of training programmes on sustainable finance and the European Taxonomy for both young professionals and active practitioners. The work contributed to strengthening knowledge, technical capacity and the practical application of sustainable finance principles within circular economy initiatives in the Basque Country.
