Project description
The consultancy supported the development of a knowledge and learning package to showcase the achievements and impacts of the NDC Support Programme (NDC SP) and strengthen understanding of how ambitious Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) can contribute to broader development outcomes. The work focused on documenting results, capturing lessons learned and developing analytical tools to assess the wider benefits of climate action.
The project included the preparation of a flagship knowledge product highlighting the outcomes and achievements of NDC SP interventions across its seven key result areas. In addition, the consultancy developed a methodological framework for assessing the contribution of ambitious NDCs to development objectives and tested its application through selected country examples.
The work also involved the preparation of in-depth country case studies illustrating the cumulative impacts of NDC SP support and demonstrating how long-term, flexible and responsive technical assistance can enhance climate and development outcomes. The final outputs provided evidence of programme achievements and generated insights to support future climate policy and implementation efforts.
