Elisa holds a PhD in Science from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), an MSc in Environmental Change and Human Footprint (UPV/EHU), an MSc in Environmental Engineering and Management (Escuela de Organización Industrial) and a BSc in Geology (UPV/EHU). She is currently a lecturer in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of the Basque Country
She has extensive experience in the analysis of climate change risks and adaptation policies in contexts of uncertainty. She has numerous publications in international scientific journals and has contributed to the most recent IPCC report on impacts and adaptation. Between 2017 and 2019, she was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute (London School of Economics).
Elisa has experience in the public sector, as Director of Biodiversity and Environmental Participation in the Department of Environment of the Basque Government, and in the private sector, in a cooperative of the ULMA Group.
