Alina Averchenkova

Alina holds a PhD in International Economics from the University of Bath (UK) and a BSc in Geography from the University of Moscow. Since 2013 she is responsible for the climate policy area of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change (LSE).

Previously she was Global Director of Climate Change at KPMG, carbon-asset manager at First Climate (Zurich) as well as Program Officer at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Alina has worked as a consultant in Metroeconomica, for the Environmental Defense Fund (Washington) and for the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

She has over 14 years of experience in international development and climate policy.
