Alberto Ansuategi

Alberto has published in the fields of environmental economics, natural resource economics, and macroeconomic analysis.

He has worked in the fields of science policy and economic planning, notably serving as Director of Science Policy and Director of Economy and Planning of the Basque Government during the periods 2005–2009 and 2022–2024, respectively.

Currently Full Professor in the Department of Economic Analysis at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and Director of the Joint Research Programme between the UPV/EHU and the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3), Low Carbon Programme.

Founding Partner and Senior Advisor, Full Professor and Researcher.

PhD in Environmental Economics from the University of York (2000), MSc in Economic Analysis from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) (1993), and Degree in Economics and Business Studies from the UPV/EHU (1990).
